Do you suppose a bunk-like roller assembly such as this would help facilitate launching in the surf? I don't really know but given the somewhat rough conditions we might encounter, in the open water, I thought those rear rollers (being lower) might somehow prove to be helpful.  :shrug9:    I know these are designed for smaller watercraft, but just thinking in terms of a design possibility.

I have a sheet of aluminum screwed on in the cabin.  I laminate all the documents(registration & boating safety cards) on it.  When I get boarded, CG likes it cause they sit in the cabin and check it all at once.

Yesterday I dropped off my boat at Longfield1's for some pipework. He's east of Tacoma. If the seat box were to get there prior to my return, I can get it to Woodland, WA. I will be out of town the last week of June, so if that's your timing for pickup, another handoff needed.

There is not reason you couldn't easily add some keel roller so it rolls right off, even with the bunks.

I think a couple ramped bunk extensions will get me there with few modifications. I only need a few inches.

I like the roller idea. It's super uncommon on these small boats. One reason I heard was that folks like the stickiness of the bunks for solo launches and retrieves... i thought the opposite. Glad its not just me.

Thanks for the ideas guys.

Croaker:  Funny, but when you first posted a pic of that thing, I thought it silly.  Now that I see it installed, I've changed my mind. :jester:  Not just useful, but "cool".

Those Scanstrut cable glands are nice.  I'm particularly fond of the stainless.
