The way there was slow and decently rough, too, and with 4 people and ice/beer/food/water/fish. It's significantly more efficient of a prop.

Impressive!

Thats fantastic! Big engines on these boats really shine in the numbers!

I'm sold!  I need to get a 4-blade prop!  I have a 1992 SR17 with a 2010 Merc 90 4-stroke (2.33:1 gear ratio).  I am currently running the stock black max aluminum 13x19 48-77346A45

Which 4-blade should I be looking for?

THANKS for any help!!!

Tom C

There a lot more to it than just the number of blades.

This thread is already very long, so maybe start a thread to discuss your boat/motor and the best propeller options.

SPOILER: pretty much anything will be an improvement over what you have now.

Best advice I can give is listen to Tom C and provide accurate readings, etc of what you are currently getting. I felt like I just went straight to what was best for my boat/motor, without having to try a bunch in order to get there.
