How do I attach a picture to a private message?

Have been trying to attach a sketch to a private message and can't find any attachment method.  No keys or click and drag field.  Any help will be appreciated.  Maybe I am too old and dumb to figure this out.  Go easy on me, I was born in the 1900"s!

Best way for me is to use imgur.com to send pictures in PM's.
Once you create a free account, click on the circle next to your username, usually has a letter in it. After clicking on it you will see a drop down menu where you select "images". There you will be able to upload your picture.
Once uploaded go back to your images, click on the picture and a pop up will appear, select BBCode (message boards & forums). Use that link in the body of your PM to send a picture.

Similarly, you can upload a picture to your gallery here and then send the link in the PM.

Thanks all!  The sketch was of the bait box covers that I posted in the for sale section.  I had an inquiry by PM but couldn't post the sketch there so I just added the sketch to my "For sale" Ad where anyone interested can view it.  This works for now until I need to post a picture in a PM for some other reason!
