Thank you for doing this, this has been something I've thought of but couldn't think of a good way to secure it.

What I do is just pile all my lines and floats in my storage box, and pile up my hoops on the deck.

Are you going out to the s#it show tonight?
So happy lobster season is finally here! :mememe:

Thanks AJ.
I am going to be on my kayak tonight out of KH.  It will be a sheit show there too.  KH always produced so I will be on my kayak for the first couple of weeks.  I'll venture over to the LB breakwall eventually. Are you going tonight?

Cool, good luck looking forward to seeing some pictures of those bugs!

No, I'm going to give everyone their first couple of weeks to get all of their piss and vinegar out of their system. I went back in 2019 during the opening an once during the opening week and AH's set on me and the conversations were not pleasant. After that I wait, not worth the hassle for me, I'll start heading out probably mid October.
When you feel like heading down to LB, text me and we can take over some spots.

All I caught was a cold!  Never seen so many kayakers/boaters/divers out there.  They were just throwing hoops on top of each other.  I finally had enough and called it a night.  First skunk opener ever!

What did you use for bait?

Yep that's why I don't go out during the opener for the first few weeks, everyone is out there with their friends, cousins, brothers, and nephews, no respect and overcrowded. I love it towards the end of December to the end February, the colder the better as most want to stay indoors next to the heater, prime time for the crawl.

I went out again tonight and limit on the first set. I was done by 7:30pm. Conditions were nice and only a few kayakers, one boat, and a couple of divers. We were pretty spread out, so that was nice. I was using Mackerels and Sardines.

That's awesome to hear, glad you did well. This week I'm getting all my gear situated and making sure no holes in my hoops netting, need to add a couple new reflector stickers to my floats and check over my boat.
This weekend is the Huntington (Pacific) air show so it's going to be a circus down at the LB ramps, going to stay away and try and make a run the following week, can't wait.
