I've been wanting to do a thread for quite sometime, but work, family life, and young kids always have taken priority and time away from me starting this.

I will continually post here periodically as progress unfolds.  Lots of plans for this boat.  But completion and progress always comes down to time and money.   :jester:

Electrical rewire is definitely one of the top priorities.  The link to the thread can be found at https://www.arimaowners.com/index.php?topic=24935.0

The previous owner removed some of the electronics.  Thus, there were holes with just the screws left in.  Not a big deal, but if I wanted to put the boat in the water, I wanted to have the peace of mind that the transom was completely dry.  I also have plans of upgrading all the electronics anyways along with adding trim tabs, so I took it as an opportunity to remove everything off the transom.

The old transducer was held on by screws and 3M caulking (I assumed either 4200 or 5200.). The old screw holes also had old caulking in them too.  Debond Marine Formula (the white can pictured) worked extremely well to remove all the old caulking.  Once all holes were cleaned out, I used West Systems 610 epoxy to fill them.  I used the packing tape method as well to "hold" in the epoxy while it cured and dried.

I want rails towards the rear of the boat.  Thus, the flush mounted downriggers and rod holders will need to go.  Removed everything off the gunwales to prep for fiberglass/patch/gelcoat repair.

All holes repaired for a "fresh" start.  Gel coat match was as close to perfect as you can get.

I wish I could take credit. I'm a DIY'er majority of the time. But gel coat is where I drew the line. I used a local professional.
