So the fact that the smaller displacement Honda's do not have a simple exterior fresh water flush option has always been a complete mystery to me.  I keep my boat in covered moorage in Everett WA for 5-6 months every year.   And I use my kicker A LOT between May and October.   Problem is that it's a total PITA to flush after saltwater use when the boat's moored in the water.  My kicker is a 2017 so other years may be different.

To flush, I need to:

•   Remove the cowling
•   Use a 10mm socket wrench to remove the fresh water flush port bolt
•   Install the Honda 10mm flush adaptor
•   Tighten with a wrench to avoid leaking into the engine compartment
•   Hook up the fresh water hose to the Honda adaptor and flush
•   Use the wrench to loosen the adaptor and remove it
•   Reinstall the fresh water flush port bolt
•   Reinstall the cowling

Now I know this all sounds simple.....but after a long day.....or an evening troll where I return at dark, it's a total pain in the ass to do all while hanging out over the water.  Plus I always have the risk of losing the flush bolt, the flush adaptor, the 10mm socket or even the cowling.  PLUS it adds 10-15 minutes to my docking routine when all I want to do is go home and fillet my catch.  So I finally resolved the issue by installing a DYI flush option.  Simple project.  Parts needed are:

•   Brass Elbow Metric Male Thread M8 M8x1.25 Barb 8mm 5/16" Hose Fitting Adapter.  I found these to be difficult to source and buying a single unit was expensive with shipping.   It was just a few more dollars to buy ½ dozen so I have extras if anyone needs one I can drop in the mail for you.
•   3ft of ¼ ID Fuel Line.   (2ft is probably enough but get extra to be sure.  I used fuel line in case of any heat issues under the hood)
•   Couple of stainless hose clamps
•   Plumbers tape
•   Zip ties
•   ¼ in ID barbed Hose connection parts.
•   3/8ths drill bit

I think the pics tell the story.

That's a great solution.  I put a new Honda 9.9 on my previous little aluminum boat and I always hated that design.  I did drop that little flush port bolt in the dark while cleaning up after a crabbing trip, it's still in my lawn somewhere.

I appreciate that my new Yamaha kicker has a hose port on it for easy flushing but unlike the Honda it doesn't have an oil filter!  Each manufacturer seems to have their issues.
