Thought I would share my review of my new Anchor For GYPSEA SOUL.
Manson Supreme Anchor.

I have used a Delta/Lewmar anchor for long time,  and always rigged it with zip tie break-a-way.
Got tired of breaking the zip ties when pulling it up.
Major PITA to fix the zip ties in between anchoring.

I decided a slotted shank anchor is the ticket.
It allows standard rigging with the ability to pull out your anchor if it's hung on hard bottom.
There were 2 choices.

Based on the lower cost,   I decided on the Manson Supreme.
I am very happy with my choice.

The Manson drops perfectly off my anchor roller.
Sets super fast and holds great.

On Friday my wife and I fished at Local reef "Izor's"
This is a spot a lot of people avoid anchoring due to the chance of losing an anchor.
I like to risk it to get on the best spots vs. drifting.

I got it stuck pretty well on one spot.
It was no problem retrieving it.  Tighten up.....then power forward.
The slotted shank allows the anchor chain to slide forward pulling the anchor up out the snag.
It popped right out like it was supposed to.

Anchor was $135.
Money well spent in my view.
Plus it looks pretty great on the bow.

Nice anchor Martin. That slide system looks like it works great.  :beerchug:

Izors is piles of large cement posts. It's very easy to loose an anchor there if you drop it down between those posts.

Yep.  I know it is always risky.....but I've anchoring there forever.
When I anchor at Izors I always pull off the reef,  drop anchor in the mud and scope back.
If you are careful it is doable.  Having the right anchor set up is helpful if you miss judge.
I've lost 2 anchors there in 40 years.

I have also lost two. Then we started using a cinder block. Funny thing, we never lost the cinder block.  :jester:

Very nice setup. I went with Rocna, basically the same design. Very happy with it. Wondering what material is the thick white plate you have everything mounted to ?
