Center aft panel loose

My google is lacking... what is supposed to hold the center aft wood panel in place? Mine came with a bungee and I know that's not right! Something at the bottom?

The center panel is supposed to have 2 tabs on the bottom edge that hold it in.

Just need two of these legs made out of 1/2" wood.

Thanks. The fastener holes on mine have been painted over and didn't see them until I knew what I was looking for!
