Postings at a PSA for anyone with a Blue Sea 6011 battery switch.

I recently had two of the 6011s fail on my North River OS. They had seen only limited used since they were installed at the factory in 2015. Basically they switches didn't turn the power off and everything was always hot. There was almost no resistance when turning the switches.

Blue sea was great about warranting them and sent out a new set without pushback. Per the rep, they had a large number fail around this timeframe because they were over torqued when installed.

When I removed the old 6011s the internal components had broken into pieces. Yikes. The new switches are similar in design and style, but have certainly been reengineered. Hope they work better than the last set!

I believe it also led to one of my three batteries fail being fully depleted when in storage.
