I just got a new to me Raymarine Quantum Dome to install on my 19' Sea Ranger HT.  I am in the midst of figuring out what type of pedestal bracket to purchase.  I would like to install the dome on the hard top, bow forward.  There is a pedestal mount that I can purchase that has the option of "forward leaning" or "aft rake". Is there anyone out there that has a 19' Sea Ranger HT with a dome that installed on the front of their hardtop that could upload a couple of pictures so I can see what they have?

I am thinking that the forward leaning would allow the dome to sit more level when under power than the aft rake.

This is the mount I am looking at:

Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.  Appreciate your time!

The 'lean' refers to the angle of the center tube of the radar mount.  Forward or aft lean has no affect on the dome angle (the top and bottom plates are parallel in either model, at least in the Scanstrut products) so the choice is aesthetic. If you want to angle the dome forward to deal with bow rise, you use a wedge for that.  I went with the 10 inch aft leaning Scanstrut for my Raymarine dome on my 21 SR Skiptop.  The Scanstrut has a hole in the back of the aft leaning tube to install an accessory nav light tube: that's the main reason I went with aft leaning.   The 10" Scanstrut is a good fit so the Radar dome signal clears the searchlight and heading sensor at the front of my SkipTop, but the boat still fits inside my 11 foot tall shop door with a whopping 1 inch to spare.  Sorry, no pictures, since I am still installing...

Mine is installed on a Seaview pedestal mount (SL22 Skiptop). It has a forward lean so it is level when I am on plane; they also sell wedges so you can customize the mounting angle to your liking.

Seaview is just like the Scanstrut: the lean just refers to the angle of the center tube but the top and bottom plates are parallel.  To be clear, the 'lean' will NOT make your mount level unless your boat itself is level while on plane.  If you want to adjust the angle of the radar, you use the wedges to do that.  So the 'lean' is aesthetic: it won't make up for a bow that rises while you are on plane.  Here's an example of a Seaview mount CAD drawing that shows the top and bottom plates are parallel (same height front and rear).

Thanks for the info positive!  Appreciate the CAD drawings as well.  Makes total sense!
