I am finally back in a Arima and was running the motor on muffs today and noticed the flush port connection was leaking water as the motor ran.
I removed the screw where the hose connects and my 2006/07 motor didn't have a spring. I also checked thermostat which was operating fine. Motor has 154 hours and looks new inside and out.

It seems this is a common issues what's the best fix?

All the flush ports I have seen have a gasket on the inside of them , that the hose runs up to . Was yours missing that gasket ?

Mine has the gasket but I think it's missing the spring part of the valve if my motor has one. I keep reading conflicting info.
