Sad to see you're letting this beauty of a boat go Dan, but understand your decision marker. Whoever picks it up, will definitely get a awesome boat!
Will you be downsizing or buddy boating?

Run don't walk and go get this boat.  Getting a dual axle trailer plus tower with radar hard extras to find on this boat.  Well priced super clean; someone will have an incredible boat. GLWS and whatever comes next.

Oh no! Does this mean Danno might be the first to jump on "MY" late model, used Sea Hunter?  :jester:
Kidding aside, that's a beauty. Actually, a lot of boat for the money. I just have to say; anyone who has ever taken the time to outfit and equip a boat like that knows how much time, money and effort it can take. No doubt, well-equipped 19 Chasers in such nice condition are hard to find.....maybe be impossible, before too long. I'd say good luck with the sale Danno, but I don't think you're going to need it.

Actually, being a boat ho is a lot of fun. I will be looking for rides when this boat sells. I enjoy the friendship of fishing with fellow Arima owners.

The biggest reason is that the time requirement of boat ownership. I can't keep the Arima at home so the little maintenance items and fishing prep happens when I pick up the boat the day before. That usually leaves me tired. Add on a day of fishing followed by clean up afterward and I'm pretty burnt and use the following day for recuperation. That turns every fishing trip into a three day affair.

I am not that good of a fisherman and since I want to target tuna this time of the year, all that effort is lost.

My plan? I want to charter fish. I'm not interested in cattle boat fishing with 30 unknown people. I'll be looking for limited load runs, and 4 pack and 6 packs. Maybe I'm fantasizing about the quality of these charters but I'm willing to give it a try. I want to concentrate more on fishing and less on boating. I have a lot to learn and enjoy fishing.

You just told the truth from being a boat owner. LOL
I thought that for a while, however since I only have my boat for 2 years, I am just to give it more time. Plus I like taking my kids on delta to for dinner cruise.

headduck

Yup. If the effort of using the boat exceeds the pleasure... its tough.

I try to minimize my routine. No prep, quick wash after use, back in the garage, ready to go. It's not beautiful, but at the end of the season it gets a thorough cleaning and looks as good as it can.

Good luck with the sale man.

Super nice boat.  :beerchug:

Don't forget, Danno: If you do "ho" with Croaker, then it would only be "reasonable, considerate and polite" to offer your assistance with "prepping" before going out. Not to mention, helping with "washing, scrubbing and thoroughly cleaning" that boat after every trip.
You didn't think you were going to get away "easy".........did you?.

Yat,

As Danno knows (since he has been my Ho before) I keep my boat in original condition. In other words, un-polished and only rinsed in order to preserve the original "patina". I have come to learn over the years that the original Arima "patina" is a fish attractant. (As opposed to shiny boats which scare away fish when they see their own reflection.) Also, my boat is diligently maintained. Turn key ready. Danno can just jump on and off we go.

I like your thinking here.
I keep my boat clean,    but I'm never afraid to get it dirty, bloody, etc.
It is no polished trailer queen!

Great boat, Danno, best wishes for a quick sale.

I completely get your decision—having a fishing boat off-site is a very different game that eats lots of time. I spend more time tinkering with the boat than fishing, but that's recreation for me, too.

Somebody is going to get a really nice boat. It is no different than if you got one off the factory floor ... except it has all the best add-ons. The motor is barely broken in.
