I took "Half Pint" (Sea Sprinter) to Convict Lake in the Eastern Sierras last week for an annual trip I make with some buddies.  The fishing was much better this year due to all of the snow runoff that filled most of the lakes in the Sierras. Launching anything bigger than a float tube is challenging, but the higher water made it possible for my 15' Sprinter. More impressive was the scenery.  Here are a few pictures.  The big Rainbows below were 6 lbs and 4.25 lbs.

Beautiful fish and beautiful scenery to match.  Doesn't really get any better than that.

Gotta love the versatility of the Arima 15-footers.

Beautiful!!!   Brings back memories of fishing for big Mac's in Tahoe and Donner.  And ya gotta love a fishery where your boat actually gets cleaner from being in water that you can basically drink!   And......no need to flush motors at the end of the day!!

Beautiful photos. Your boat is perfect for that lake. I'm surprised there are not more people there ?

In line with what Meister said, these little boats definitely have some advantages. And Hunter's post reminds me of when we used to go up to Lake Sunapee, here in N.H.  I'd put the hook down in 3 feet of water, jump out for a swim and wind-up walking around the boat, "bathing it" in that beautiful class A water. Was so nice coming home and having nothing to do but back it in the garage. Fish?......No! I didn't want those things bothering me.  :jester:

What a shame, today's youth will never really get to know how watermelon is supposed to taste.

Thanks for sharing.  Those pics of Convict lake bring back lots of memories of fishing there with my dad and uncle when I was a kid.  Backpacked in the surrounding valleys and it's wonderful country.  Glad to see it again.
