Is it possible to add the tag user functionality to the forum?

Would you guys think it is a good idea?

Would be good for known users. I wouldn't want new members randomly tagging me all over the place though.

Probably going to "show my age here"....

Not certain, but I'm guessing that "tagging" refers to other social media platforms.  If I'm correct, it won't affect me one way or the other.  This forum is the closest thing to "social media" that I'm involved in.  I have no FB, Instagram, etc.

I'll look into that. It's not in the software but there might be a 3rd party mod.

Tagging a user would notify them. Similar to how we see a notification that we were quoted.

Sometimes I feel it would create more conversation/input. Other times it's useful instead of private messaging. Plus a host of other reasons.
