Buying a used boat with sandwiched foam construction how do you know if the hull has been breached and water has saturated the foam? Thanks!

Arima's are built with closed cell foam. Does not readily absorb moisture.

Closed cell foam will absorb water, though not easily.

Typical evidence of wet foam include water seeping from screw holes, especially whe sitting in the sun warming up, a boat floating low in the water, or listing.

Small boat can be weighted, and the weight compared to specified weight, but it's harder to do with an Arima.

You can always drill some holes.  :party017:
