Problem:
Ten years ago the small hole to reach in to work on the bilge pump was to small.

FIX:
I made the hole bigger.

Problem:
The fish puke and gunk from catching a lot of fish plugged up my bilge pumps.

Fix:
I installed a diaphragm pump.

Problem:
The diaphragm pump didn't prime 100% of the time:

Fix:
I decided to build myself a small stainless steel cage that would hold two 2,000 Rule Pumps along with two Water Witch water sensors.

I wanted to use the Rule 2000 pumps because I  believe they are very good heavy duty pumps that pump a lot of water.

I already had a diaphragm pump under the floor hatch inside the fish box which pumps the water out of my large fish box that sits in the middle of my floor.

I decided to cut a hole in the bottom of the fish box and place my cage with my two large pumps.

This makes my pumps very accessible, bigger pumps, and protects my pumps from plugging up.

You can see in the photos below what it looks like.

I left the electrical leads long enough too the pumps so I can detach the pumps from their base and remove the cage to clean it if needed.

I stacked my Water Witch on top of each other.

The pump attached to the bottom Water Witch is the primary pump.

If for some reason the primary pump stops working the secondary pump will then pump out the water.

A big shout out to Brian Abbott at Water Witch.  Brian is a good guy.  I can't say enough.

Brian sent me all the parts I needed and answered my phone call several times to answer my questions.

These Water Witch sensors seem to be bullet proof.

Im sure if someone were inclined they could take this idea and fabricate something that would be very aesthetic on an Arima boat.

My boat is a working boat and I already have plenty of holes drilled and cut into my boat.  No worries for me being a little rough.

Walt:  Looks really solid - if this isn't the 'final solution', I can't imagine what would be next. X2 on the WaterWitch products and service.

If you can find a way to upgrade YOUR plumbing from 3/4" to 1 1/8", then you too can enjoy that flow...

Beware to those boats who crowd in on my fishing spot.
It's all about the pressure baby.  :mememe:
