Girl Wrestling Team on the Tunacious
« on: November 28, 2021, 05:36:16 PM »
I am one of the coaches on the Dallas High School Wrestling Team.

I try and get as many of the kids out on my boat as often as I can.

Today I took the girl wrestlers crabbing on the Tunacious.

7 pots got us 72 crab.  One of the pots had the door unlatched.  Someone probably pulled it and didn't close the door for me after taking my crab.   :berry:

A great adventure and something I don't think the girls will forget soon.

It takes a special kind of girl to be on a wrestling team.  Tough, confident, fit, and tough again.

The girls all had fun.

One of the girls mother is terminally ill and invited herself to come along.  Im glad she did.  She has always wanted to go crabbing.  Im glad she was comfortable enough to speak up.

Being the right kind of grownup to a kid who needs one is the greatest deed. Good on ya, Walt, they’ll remember you and smile.

Also, wrestlers are rad.

It is very nice of you to contribute to your community like that. That must have been some crowded boat.

It was a crowded boat for sure.
I thought about making two different trips but I’m glad I didn’t.
I made it clear they needed to listen up and they did a great job.

That's really cool.  I remember when running charter boats out of Westport in the 1970's I always liked having more women in the group mainly because they listened to what we told them to do.  Easier to pull off a successful day.  Now....if our wifes would listen......
