Fishing Tackle For Sale
« on: February 07, 2020, 01:40:38 PM »
I haven’t seen much fishing tackle for sale on this site. I’m wondering what section would be best to post it.

For sale is a Halibut rod/reel set up. A nice set up for the upcoming Halibut opener. The rod is rated for 50-100lb test and is 4’8”. The reel is a Shimano TLD 20 with 80 lb line. It would also be a good trolling set up for Albacore up here in Washington. Asking $185 cash. Pickup in Hansville, Wa

We didn’t use that outfit much. It’s an extra that we just don’t need.
We’ll be back up in Homer this summer from June to September if u happen to get back up that way.

June through September. WOW.

Something Im gonna try to replicate at some time in my life.

Have a feeling the rod and reel will go as May approaches.

Yes, we got it winterized before we left last year. We got an assigned slip for the summer. Those yellow transient docks are a joke, mostly used by boats that haven’t moved for years. I’ve seen registration stickers that date back 10 years.I think the harbor puts boats there that haven’t paid for years. Plus they’re so tide dependent on whether you can get out or back in.

Had a boat on A float for a few seasons, 3 ramps to go under at high tide....what a pain
I didn't get my boat out before the temps dropped so this is what I'm dealing with . Taken last week, I hear it's melting but still not able to get my boat out.....was hoping to catch a few more salmon and waited a bit to long....aarrghh

That would freak me out having a fiberglass boat in the ice 😬

I’ll be bringing that halibut tackle back to Homer if I don’t sell it. So if you know anyone that needs a nice set up, let them know I have it.

Yeah, I'm uneasy about my boat being stuck in the ice.....nothing I can do about it until it's liquid again..lots of very expensive boats stuck...if I hear of anyone looking for a halibut setup I will pass it on.

+1 on the ice... I think if I couldn’t do it I would hire a local to go break it up around the boat on a daily basis...

Frozen water?  Yeah..........you're looking at "dynamite in slow motion" there my friends.   Come wintertime, farmers in New England used to split boulders with the stuff.  Be careful.
