$3K was the selling price....I'm still pinching myself.
It is true.

I got lucky noticing the ad within a few minutes of it posting and was the 1st caller.
He was only 20 minutes from my office,  so I was able to pop right over.
When I was looking at the boat,   he phone was blowing up like crazy with $3K asking price.
I just so happened to have exactly 3K sitting at home,  not a penny more.
It was really weird how perfectly and quickly this all fell together.

The old owner had bought the boat cheap in 2010, during an estate auction.
In 2013,  he got the motor in a contest....supposedly no money pocket for the new motor.

I plan to have the boat ready for Sep.

Wow, that is more than a deal.   Hope a dream like that falls in my lap. I would buy instantly on a 19 Chaser at a great deal but still working on the home so I have not been active in searching.

Great deal! Having a 19 Sea Ranger with an Etec 115 I have found that motor is a great match for the boat. I get 2.5 to 3 GPH cruising in the low to mid 20's. One thing that you should probably do is have the engine checked out by a good Evinrude dealer. Do you know what type of oil is in the oil tank (synthetic or natural). You can run either but the engine computer has to be reset by the mechanic as to which type is used. A good primary gas water filter on the fuel line between the gas tank and the engine is a necessity for Etechs. Also Evinrude seems to have yearly updates for the engine computer software that an Evinrude dealer can update for you if necessary. Ask for a copy of the the computer printout generated by the engine computer from the dealer; it is a few pages long and gives you great info on how the engine has been used in the past plus any fault codes the engine is generating. Have fun with your new boat.

The E-Tec is flawless.....no error codes or overheats.
I have the software.
Most of the maintenance,  I will do myself.
This is 1st time with E-Tec.....but I am quick study.

It is set for XD100. (2 full 2.5 gals in boat!)
Engine was installed correctly,   with good in-line water separator.
Previous owner was good about changing it regularly and running stabilizer in the fuel. (supposedly)
Fuel system looks clean.
NO issues to report.

I can't wait to test those fuel numbers.....3PGH is about what I expected.
The previous owner claimed he averaged 24kts at 3.2GPH with the stainless prop.

An FYI here about doing some particular work on the engine yourself.

I recently needed a fuel injector replaced on my 115 Etech. My mechanic who I have used for years on other motors told me that although when Etechs first came out he could get software from Evinrude now he cannot do the work because Evinrude has made the required installation software for the EMM (engine computer) available only to certified Evinrude dealers. The software for the injector updates the EMM with the serial number of the new fuel injector, the injector’s unique coefficients from production, and the cylinder location that the fuel injector is for. Without this information the EMM is not able to properly interface with the new injector. On your printout from the EMM you will see that the EMM has been programmed with each cylinder's serial number.

If interested in how the injectors work and make the Etech the engine it is this article might be of interest - http://www.evinrudenation.com/owner-zone/understanding-the-e-tec-fuel-injector-by-bill-grannis/

Have fun with your new boat.

Finally got the boat home and settled into the driveway spot.
I had to sell 2 other boats......took me a few weeks to get it done.

Now, I'm digging into the clean up work on my Arima.

-Removing all the old vinyl striping and decals (not coming off easy!)
-Stripping old wiring
-Skip Top carpeting and stainless polishing.
-Cabin clean up (I'm happy with the results)

Only bad thing I found so far is 2 hairline cracks in the skip top frame.
Will weld them up this weekend.

Maiden Voyage should be next weekend.
I'll send some pic updates after this weekends work.

I think it looks way better without the stripes dating the boat.
A lot work.....that vinyl is stuck on there.

Made some good progress this weekend.

-Was able to remove all the old vinyl decals.

-Gelcoat polishing.
The Navy Blue is coming back nicely.

-Pulled the Skip Top for thorough cleaning and re-carpeting.
Polished all the stainless and remounted.

I like the clean look.....it's coming along.

She looks great! I do like the look without that vinyl stripe, helps make it look a little more simple.

I took the stripes off my 17. They were pretty beat up. Liked the clean look also. Did not replace. I've left them on the 19 as they are in good shape. I do like the colored part of your hull. I've wondered if this vinyl wrap stuff would hold up to boating conditions.

I've been making some progress.

-Installed folding trailer tongue. (wife is happy to get the full driveway back)
-cleaned up a bunch of crappy wiring.
-New Bait and Bilge pumps
-New running lights
-Next is tackling the windlass installation.

Offline martin3

I plan to pull some items from the boat.
They will be free for the taking.

-14 gallon stock water tank from under the bunks.
The tank seems to be in really good condition.....I want the storage space more than the freshwater.

-Fish tray from in box fish-hold.

-Stock 48 gal fuel tank.
This will be pulled in a few weeks for the custom floor tank.

LET ME WHO WANTS WHAT.
Local is better.....but if someone really needs this stuff from out of town,  we can figure it out.
