Anybody got a 3"x3" piece of starboard they can spare?
« on: July 11, 2019, 07:40:51 PM »
Or know of a good place I can go buy a scrap piece? I'm in the Olympia area but get as far as Seattle occasionally.

Thanks!

I will be in Olympia on Saturday and have some in the shop. I just sent you an email. I’m down Cooper Point

Tap plastics usually has scraps and are reasonable if you need to buy it.

Thickness doesn't really matter. I guess 1/2" might be better than 1/4". I'm just attaching a handle clip for the net to the roof where the original anchor light was and I wanted some starboard to cover the anchor light wiring hole and to screw the handle clip to.

+1 on TAP Plastics scrap bins.   Awesome pieces of starboard in there...

Tap also has all sorts of fiberglass gel coat repair, and other cool stuff. Certainly one of the benefits of being in a more urban location...and the scrap bins are super affordable.

I'll try and get there before we head out on our trip Monday after next.  I may also try a plastics distributor in the Tacoma area since I'll be in T-town on Monday
