New Seals.....my Lower Unit was leaking.

I am going to take a wild guess and say it is a 2004 90 hp E-Tec? :whistle:

Not sure of the time on the motor. Last timeI checked 750. Now maybe 1000 ?.  Mechanic said it will run "forever" 😂

Water leak. Milky oil.

Upper drive shaft seal.

Mechanic said it's a common issue.  He said he always replaces that seal when he services the water pump.

Glad to see it was an easy fix CS. This reminds me I need to change my impeller and seals to, great week to do it too 🌧️

Hahaha. Yep. My impellers always look like new after two years. You are probably right.  :beerchug:

This guy knows ETECs. He cautioned me not to let my plug gap open too much. He said keep it at .028. He said if you let it open too much, then instead of the spark jumping across the plug gap, it will jump inside of the EMM and burn it out.

You don't have to replace them every time. As long as the plug still looks good, Just re-gap them.

Wire gapping tool...NOT the one that looks like a coin.
