Wyoming ELK Quest part Deux

YOu may remember the story and pictures of our first trip to Wyoming with stick and string in search of the wily Wapiti   ( link http://www.arimaowners.com/index.php?topic=16199.msg191933#new  )

We hoped to the snows would move the herds to lower elevations from the 9000+ heights searched in late September.

WE went back leaving November 2 and again driving through.

the desert isn't flat, lots of gulches and ridges to hide in but two days of driving and glassing turned up no elk. 
Shane obtained permission for me to hunt on several ranches going over 20 miles up the valley including one that had a log cabin with a wood cook stove How warm is that?!? 

It was teens to low 30's much of the week and the last days were below zero.  Judy bought be a faux fur hat with hunter orange camo that kept covering my eyes so I wore the Hunting with Heroes ball cap to shield my eyes.  WE had a lot of spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

Lots of deer, hundreds of antelope, sage grouse and 16 moose were all we saw for 7 days..  finally we ventured higher where we hunted in Sep and saw an elk-----  in the back of a truck.
