Saw this on the news this morning of an Alaskan Airlines employee that stole a Horizon turbo prop plane and went on a joyride, by himself, then crashing it. Glad no one else was on board.

At first I didn't read the full story. I didn't know he was killed in this crash. Sad story.

Very sad tragedy.  I can't imagine what all the airlines will have to do to guarantee no one will ever steal an airplane again...

Mark my thoughts exactly.

The crazy thing here is this guy, who was just a ground agent, knew the start sequence and had the knowledge of flying the plane by playing video games.
This is going to be a tough one for the airlines to figure out, given that so many different people have access to the plane when it's out of service, especially mechanics where some know how to fly.
Another sad thing here is, this guy seemed smart to where he knew how to fly the plane, and do maneuvers in it without crashing, till the end which seemed to be geared towards suicide. It would be interesting to see why he never attended flight school or the reason why he couldn't attend.

Somehow, I feel that he intended to land and go to jail.
