Has anybody in WA gone to the Sportco or Outdoor Emporium Shrimp & Halibut Fishing with Tom Nelson and Terry Rudnick of Salmon University?  There is one in Seattle on
Saturday April 21st 10am-1pm but I'm not able to make it.  I was wondering if folks have gone to past events.  I've had some luck with Halibut but need help in the shrimp department. Thanks!

I found the cats at outdoor emporium super helpful...especially when just starting out...all levels of experience and skill present and very friendly...especially on like 4 pm on a Tuesday when nobody's around to talk to...

The guys from salmon university are sharp and their programs are usually well attended. Good entry level information to take the hesitation away from the first trip as well as increasing chance of success...

Also other curious folks of various experience show up who can share knowledge as well.

For me, good retailers with a level service not common in most retails settings. Prices are usually pretty good too.
