First pass of the day one and done. All clean up and headed to the burn at 830am. Fun day but way too short.

Well that’s a gorgeous fish!    Kinda hard to let one like that go to find a bigger one....

Springer, the Butterball of Kings.  Enjoy you good fortune.  Reports I’m hearing are a whole lot more effort for a lot less reward.  Well done!

And it was so good mouth watering good.Mooch to top it off it was my first try of the year too been real busy with other fisheries. I better quite now so my odds stay high. With only just over 100 fish through the dam the run hasn't even started. There should be a lot of quota left.

We saw you running back upriver near st Helen's on Saturday I think.  We were out from 6:30 to 2:30 and spent some time just upriver from st Helen's, some downriver and some in the channel.  4 guys not a single bite.

While the weather wasn't near as bad as they were calling for, I am really glad I was fishing on a 22 foot alumaweld intruder hardtop as opposed to one of those open guide boats.

Listened to the outdoor line podcast from Saturday and they said it has been the worst/slowest springer season since 1949.
