wiper motor on 1997 sea explorer
« on: March 09, 2018, 10:51:42 AM »
Mine quit.  I tried power directly to the two terminals on the motor and nothing.  Anyone know where I can get an exact, or near exact, replacement?

If you do a search for "wiper motor" there will be lots of info. Wiper motors are brought up every so often.

Great.  Let me know what brand or make if you can, and if you want to sell it.  Thanks.

Mine stopped working as well.  Haven't had a chance to look see what the trouble is, but if it's unrepairable, I might just "chuck-it" and fill the hole with a screw and finishing washer.  Never use it anyway.  :shrug9:

Dear Arima:  Please "square-off" the Hunter transom.  Make it like my old 77 Silverline.  Thank you.  Oh yeah...please hurry; I'm getting old.

If I remember right the older wiper motors are the smaller diameter shaft/cheap motors.  When I used to work for my familys business and sold wiper motors I know I helped some forum members with a replacement to a better motor that could handle a panto arm.  I will see if I can find the thread.
