New Dash panel
« on: March 01, 2018, 06:42:07 PM »
I am looking for a new switch to replace the Trim Tabs switch. Is there one switch that I should have that I am forgetting?

Darren, my $0.02:

I put the radar on a switch as I see no reason to power it when 99% of the time it isn’t being used.

I like the horn on a rubber push button separate from the switches so in a panic I can probably push it quicker.

Sometimes I wish I had put in an electronics switch to turn off the power to the fish finder and NMEA 2000 network.

Please post a picture of your finished product.  I’m sure it will be awesome!

I utilize a 2nd. bilge pump/float switch that is independently wired and switched at the helm... auto/manual/off.
I just updated my primary to a three way as well. Both are now 1000gph.

This is what I had made for my dash panel. I was also able to find black oxidized stainless steel screws.

Where did you get the black ox. bolts ?

Just a small note...some of the fasteners on my Skipjack (like the battery switch bolts) they tapped the fiberglass. The socket head cap bolts had no nuts. Just threaded into the tapped fiberglass. They were surprisingly strong.

I picked up some lock washers today for the back of the #8 screws. I plan on mounting this in a couple days.
