Yes I am going to Lawson's Dillon's Beech but as it has been the past few weeks the weather is decent during the week but worse on the weekends. Saturday is looking to be a little lumpy - 10-20 kt winds 2-4 wind waves and 6-8 swell, not good if these conditions move closer to shore.
We like to crab down near Pt Reyes and have great success getting large Dungy's  but we may need to stay in Tamales Bay where it will be a zoo but we should be able to pick up a good crab dinner.
I will be on a friends boat, a larger 23 ft Well Craft, staying in the beach house on this trip. Weather calls for rain, not a big deal as the house will be warm and comfortable.

I had a mother in law get sick quickly and pass so I have missed out on the last 6 weeks of the season....I am already anxious for next years salmon season to start. I'll settle on a couple crab and rock fish/ling trips.

Yup, there’s 165 campsites between Westside and Doran. When I called this morning there was 5 first come first serve sites left .lol. I think I’ll wait until next week after the zoo hopefully clears out? If you can, take some pictures of tamales for our northern brotheren to see what we have to deal with here in Ca. I’ve personally had traps pirated more than once. One guy even left a seashell calling card in my traps. Once in bodega after a full nite soak I went to check traps, the fog lifted about the time I got there and no kidding there were 15 kayakers surrounding my traps. Needless to say my traps were empty.

Rokefin , I didn't know you stayed at a beach house.  I had the 19 ft Sea Chaser parked by you this summer.  We are up on top at Waikiki.  I'm going to wait a week or so to crab. reguards, Tripper

Tripper, yes I remember your 19, pointed it out to a lot of people.  Wish it was my beach house but normally I sleep in my truck. I fish half a dozen or so trips thru the season with a friend and stay at his friends house on that trip, I help them out and we use their boat. I had to pull my boat out early this year  but as I previously said I am crabbing this weekend and may get out a couple more times but will need to tow the boat from home.

Can you keep boats up on Waikiki or do they have CCR's?    The beach house I stay at is on Oceana Marin just out of the neighborhood CCR's

You are not supposed to have boats or RVs with CCR's.  Hope you have a good week end.  Stay safe with the BAR

I want to crab bodega this weekend.
But I don't want to deal with all the people.
Plus can't find a camping spot .
Good luck to anyone that goes
