Good point about the grain direction on the brushed Ed.  Something I would not have noticed until I had the pieces cut, or installed and someone with a sharp eye, such as you or my seamstress wife, mentioned it...

Nice !! Still trying to decide on a color was thinking just black or light gray.  My new boat actually have this stuff everywhere and I really like it. It has black and in the summer was not hot at all it’s one of the first things dry after my washdown at the end of the day. Very please with it.

Black deck on a boat?   I can't speak for the Northwest, but during the summer in New England, you'd be asking:  "Do you want fries with those feet?".   I mean......seriously........I'd be doing a Mexican hat dance all day.  Personally, I'd never cover my beautiful Arima deck with this stuff, but, if anybody feels it's necessary, I'd suggest considering a lighter color.  My two.

Hat dance huh???   :bigshock:   Let me know when that is going to occur...   I want the ticket concession...  That would likely pay much better than the lottery I once bought...

I ordered mine this morning as well! They don't offer the same colors in all 3 things I wanted. So this is what I went with:
1) Camel color in the sheet material (2 sheets).
2) Beach Sand color for the coaming pads.
3) Mocha color for the fish tape measure.

I have been waiting all year for this sale. Winter project!

Sorry Fixer.........hate to disappoint you, but that's a ticket-line you might not want to be standing in.  :jester:  You see.....I like my Arima "deck" just the way it is, thank you.

Just ordered 2 sheets of embossed Rudy Red to go along with my red Hardtop hatches and  red motor cowling and 3 red heads.  Going to drag my boat to Shawn’s and he can supervise.

These guys had to have been slammed with their Black Friday stuff.  I expected a couple of weeks wait for shipment.  Got notice to day my order is on its way and should be here Monday 12/4 via UPS...

Now for warmish weather for install (60 plus needed).

I plan to rent a propane salamander heater for 24 hours to heat the shop.  That is the same machine used to cure drywall in new construction.  Probably set it up in the boat to get the floor warm for the application...

Keeping the material in the house so it stays warm in the meantime.  Possibly install Dec. 11/12 if help is available...

finally decided to order some Seadek for my 17SC. I went with the light Teak w/ black lines. Found this stuff on eBay for just less than $50/sheet with free shipping. I did this with 3 sheets. Got all the floor done today and now need to make the pieces for the steps, swim ladder, port gunnel top and my storage box lids. Looks way better and now I wont be tripping over the edge of carpets or slipping and busting my keister anymore! It's not perfect as lining up the lines was a challenge and I found that the non skid texture is not symmetrical from side to side. The only part that I was able to use the same template on was the fish box lids.

I watched a number of YouTube videos about installing seadek and that helped. I was going to rout the edges but decided to just bevel them instead, routing with the black lines and different width parts would have made some of them look un-even. I also chose to scissor cut the parts rather than use a razor knife. For my templates I used a bunch of 20mil clear window vinyl and that made marking and cutting the templates way nicer than using thinner Mylar like seadek provides in their template kit

Wow!!!
Looks great, I was thinking of doing the same but have SeaDek make the panels, I purchased thier template kit and was on my 2018 things to do list... After looking at the pics I may just buy the sheets and go the same route.

Great Job!!!

Pulled the seats too...  Getting the material pattern to match takes a lot more skill than what I am using on my deck.  My hat is off to your patience and skill.
