Jim I just scribed a radius then cut it with a razor knife with cardboard behind it so I could get clear through.

I had the boys out tubing on one of our 100 degree days. When it was dry it was hot to my feet so I gave it a spray down with the hose and that fixed that. I think if I was in SoCal I would get a shade of grey or lighter color.

Looks Great !!

Did it come in a roll and you cut it? If so, what did you cut it with ?

I got a sample and it matches the gelcoat well. (Gunwales)

Yes big roll. Create pattern, transfer to the white 3m backing and then cut with razor knife. I used cardboard underneath to get a good pass through cut and a 6’ level for a strait edge guide.

I went with the light grey embossed.  I wanted a little color and was worried ALL THE fish Blood  would get trapped in the brushed surface.

Comes with sticky back.  Life expectancy around 5 years...  I suspect, at nearly 80, I will be either really gung ho to replace the material to continue using, or to  sharpen up looks to sell...

Just ordered snow camo, embossed.  I am not much of a camo guy.  I got the sample pack (available to anyone who wants it).  One color a very close match to the gel coat on my boat.  But my boat tends to get VERY dirty.  When fishing, hooks sometimes get dropped onto the floor then stepped on.  The snow camo looks like it will show dirt (and tuna blood) the least, while still looking good.  The embossed finish shows hook gouges less than the brushed...  Time will tell..

I considered bolsters but just could not pull the trigger.  That being said, I do intend to cover the gunnels.

I ordered 2 full sheets and a 18x36 short sheet.  The last thing I would want is to be just a little bit short-- Then have to pay full price, plus another shipping charge...   $22 shipping sucks, but since I am saving around $200   :shrug9:

You can see the colors on the website.   I ordered embossed as well.   I will post pictures once I have installed.   still working on mods to the boat.   I may wait to apply this, I am looking at starting a mod to build aluminum seat boxes and add Glyde Ryde suspension to my Centric SAS seats.   If I do that I will install the SeaDek once that modification is done.

A note on brushed or embossed. The brushed has a grain direction. The embossed does not. That may matter in some installs and can mean extra waist because grain direction not matching.  :twocents:

I still have not installed all of what I bought last year.
