Any report on coho in area 10?
« on: October 22, 2017, 04:48:52 PM »
Thinking about going out tomorrow and Tuesday. Any reports on fish in that area?

Thanks,

If you look at the fish counters reports not much being caught if any. They are not checking that much anymore. Good luck it’s still fun to try.

So I saw something yesterday crossing Hood Canal bridge that I’ve never seen before. Fish (don’t know what kind) jumping everywhere.  My wife and I saw at least 100 jump. Some close to the bridge and several couple hundred yards out. Anyone have ideas?

Chummers, most likely.

I was going to ask the same thing.  It was gorgeous today and is supposed to be most of the rest of the week as well as the weekend.  Was thinking about giving it a go on Saturday if the reports were decent but I saw the Creel Reports as well and they looked pretty dismal.  I'm assuming with the flash flood of rain that we've had over the past week that the silvers have already gone through the sound and are up the rivers?

We went out today and to say it was slow would be an understatement. Two shakers was all the action we got and everyone at the dock said the same thing. The good news is the winter crabbing is off to a better start than the summer crab season treated us. Dropped the pots before fishing and checked after fishing and we got 6 nice sized keepers for 4 pots.

Hope you weren't crabbing in Area 10. I believe it's closed.

Is that why there were no other pots around ). Just kidding we went to Brown's Bay so it wasn't a long run. Left them over night and picked up 6 today. Still no fish but it was a great day.

All that rain last week and the silvers got a sniff of freshwater.....up the river they went. Save your fuel and start stockpiling honey-do days now, blackmouth opens on November 1.  :beerchug:

I'm ready for winter chinook. Going to go out Sunday with my wife for one last try for coho. Thinking about trying over around Kingston, just to see what's on the sonar
