I am running a 150etec on my 21. Just let me know if you have any questions about the motor. The 150etec would turn a 19' into a drag racing boat.

These topics always go away from the what an Arima is used for to a Bass boat.
He asked about the 150etec for it. I didn't say I would put one on a 19' but then again I have never heard a man say "this thing just has too much power...I wish I had less power"  :jester:

I've used this on AO before, and I'm sure it won't be the last time...

Horsepower?  I'd rather have torque.  Remember:  Torque is something you feel........horsepower is something you brag about.  :jester:

Dear Arima:  Please "square-off" the Hunter transom. Next, stretch the Explorer by 9 and steal 2 or 3 from the cabin.  Please hurry, I'm getting old.

They don't list torque for outboards. Best to look at displacement for a indication.

Not to get into an argument over this however on Defiance website the 17' Chaser is listed at 1250 lbs hull weight and the 19' Sea Ranger at 1650 a difference of 400 lbs. that and a fuel tank that is 21 gallons larger and you will be 500 lbs easily heavier. Anyway yes you can change props however you will lose mph.  :twocents:

The weight difference isn't just the 2 feet- Chaser has no V berth, the Ranger has a more cuddy

I have a 19ft hardtop with an AK bulkhead. It has twin 50hp honda's on it. I feel it's underpowered or maybe also proper incorrectly propped. I'm getting around  25 mph at 5500 rpm. I cruise at 20-21 @ 4000 rpm. This is with full tank and a two people with gear. Having said that it sure trolls nice on 1 engine and seems to be very economical to run.
