The Sea Star hoses are more flexible than the Baystar and are rated for higher horsepower.  My boat already had it but I removed the helm unit and sent it to LA to be rebuilt and it was just a matter of unbolting hoses and the unit itself.  The task that requires a helper is the bleeding.

Baystar is suitable for under 150 hp.  Mine went fairly easily for our Yamaha 115

I have 21' Ranger with the Baystar cylinder... works okay you do feel some prop torque at higher speeds.

IMO
When my unit leaks/fails I am going to replace/upgrade to the SeaStar. I believe the newer Arimas all use the SeaStar hoses.
Just the helm pump and cylinder would need to be upgraded.
