Minneys have been in business for as long as I can remember. (Streamfixer would say... "not very long")

I bought one of the $29 bow rollers and I am happy with the quality. (1/2 price)

Can we categorize this list?  Arima-related, fishing-related, general boating, etc...

Are you thinking categories like headers in this single thread or a separate thread for each category? If we do the latter, I will still put the Arima link on top to make sure we all remember to think of the mothership first.

I am thinking about headers in a single post (so we would have Fishing, then under it Salmon U, Leroys, then General Boating, under it Greg's Marine Wire, etc...

Was just thinking that some of the site names are not all that intuitive as far as what they are about.

I know you're required to carry a boaters license in Washington and was looking into obtaining one when I came across this:
http://www.boatus.org/onlinecourse/Washington.asp

Or for Oregon:
http://www.boatus.org/onlinecourse/Oregon.asp

I'm sure most if not all of you have yours but for anyone needing one this is a FREE course. All you have to pay is the $10.00 fee to the state. The other online courses I found wanted $30.00 + plus the $10.00 to the state!  :bigshock:

Sorry CG

You got it backwards.

The old foggies (beyond a certain age) are the ones exempt.  The rest of us (including you) have to get the certification.

Oh Well ---- that's a relief --- By the way, just in case it slipped your attention, it's 2012 all ready  :jester:

And the date only applies in Washington.  Oregon has been there for a few years.

I am one of the exempted ones BUT...
I took the course, offered by our local yacht club, anyway.
Did it over a year ago and still haven't sent in for my card.

Back somewhere around '99 or so I took Oregon's test. As I remember it at the time there was no fee but if I had waited another month there would have been. It was some sort of an early incentive deal I picked up on at the boat show so i jumped on it. I got a booklet with a test in the back that had to be mailed in. I took the test, mailed it in, and recieved a certificate back with a notice that my card would be mailed to me when they were ready but never received one.  :shrug9:
