Was hoping someone else can shed some light on this, i filled my tank and entered all info into the NSS, entered 26.5 Gallons, checked the box "set to full" etc. I did this several times but it doesn't save the settings and still have no needle on the virtual fuel level gauge, this is making my mpg and gal/hr all messed up. I have the latest 3.0 software and running nmea 2k network.

Lots of questions before I might be able to help you find an answer.

Did you do the boat set up? Answered all the questions - how many engines-how many tanks- tank capacity?

What hardware are you using to monitor fuel usage - engine data? fuel flow meter? tank sender?

When you go to the fuel page does it show anything for fuel used for trip/season/total?

Vessel is setup yes, one engine and one tank along with capacity.
I have Nmea 2000 backbone, Df90 is connected via SDS adapter and engine interface cable ( software version 2.5 ). Also have a GS25 external nmea 2000 antenna connected to the backbone.
I am getting all the engine data on my plotter including fuel flow.
No tank sender or fuel flow meter, i do know however it should still work without these.
Basically with the backbone, engine data and an external antenna it should work, has to be something in the NSS settings, the manuals are absolutely useless, i read all 3, quick start, instillation and user manuals, doesn't get into fuel whatsoever.

Yes its showing  fuel usage numbers for trip/season/total.

All the gauges on this screen come from the main engine Except Fuel % and MPG, and since my fuel level doesn't show the nss shows weird #'s for mpg.

On the fuel page when i "Set to Full" it then gives me the option to calibrate engine, the problem is no matter what i do the "OK" button is grayed out and not selectable.

Could it be something here possibly ? this is in the NMEA 2000 data sources settings sitting in the driveway with the key on

I just found this thread, seems as though Simrad has disabled the ability to add capacity of more than one tank in version 3.0 software , since i have only one tank i should be able to make it work, i will try making a new template screen as suggested in post #8 of this thread.

I read through that thread before and was a bit confused because my system is working with NSS's/E-Tec engine/memory unit. Maybe it only worked because I initially set it up with a gen 1 HDS unit in the system. Hope you can find the answer.

Even though I listed the memory unit (storage device) in my setup, I didn't notice that Westcoaster didn't have one listed. That's what I get for posting at 1 AM.

The memory module is already contained within my Engine interface cable, part # 990C0-88147

Got it working
Reverted from interface software 2.7.0 down to 2.5.0
I unconfigured the engine interface then rebooted Simrad, turned Nmea network with all devices on including the engine key in the ON position then wrote the 2.5.0.luf to the interface, re configured the engine and it worked.
I now have the needle for fuel level and when i ran it on the muffs gallons per hour looks much more accurate. Then i was able to make a new gauge from 0-27 gallons rather than having a %, also changed the range for the fuel burn rate gauge from 0-30 to 0-12, much better.
I'm sure it will take a few refills and calibrations as i burn fuel to get it dialed right in.

Glad you got it up and running.

I read through a few of the Suzuki/Simrad interface/fuel management threads on THT and ended up with a massive headache, bleeding eyes, and the thought that I knew less after all the reading than I knew when I started.   :hoboy:
