West Marine flyer is advertising 50% off all Ancor marine wire now through May 28 - right after I finished my rewire..............

I just got some from there to. The guy gave me 1 gauge Ancor marine wire for $4 ft. Good price.

West Marine is actually doing better now with their price match. I showed them a blue seas circuit breaker for $38 on Amazon and their in store price was $54. They actually priced matched Amazon

At the Portland store today..."It is, News to us" (no wire sale). Employees in the dark. They did price match a battery flare unit with Amazon, but had a shipment and no help to unload it for a stock item..."Um we have no one to unload the pallet today" typical...

Been trying to say it for a bit now. WM prices are high, Greg's Marine is mid-priced and there are Plenty of other cheaper options. For example...

1/0 ancor marine wire @ WM costs $7.79/ft (regular price)
1/0 ancor marine wire @ Greg's Marine wire costs $4.44/ft
1/0 ancor marine wire @ Hardware Specialties costs $2.44/ft

That is just one example. Needless to say, I saved a bunch by buying local. Not having to pay shipping helped even more. If you are in the Seattle area and need marine wiring/components, I would give Hardware Specialties a look.

If anybody still cares, and if WM employees haven't yet heard, the sale flyer arrived in the mail on the 13th,  called 'Memorial Day splash sale', first 2 pages of stuff for the first 4 days only, the rest of it - including the wire - May 17th through May 28th.  That's it.

Stabil 360 marine, 2 for the price of 1. And indeed, the Ancor Marine wire is 50% off. Had a quick look and there seems to be some good deals. He probably got mailed the sale flyer a few days early. Worth a look for sure
