Still in my Arima and as I learn more, likely to remain that way.  Where or Where is that 19SC for me?   :shrug9:

Is a Pacer in the Portland CL today. 2001 17', 90 HP Nissan 7,5 Honda. 2 motorized down riggers. Folding tongue. 1 companion.  Looks clean and pretty in the pictures. Asking $13500.  Portland CL, search "2001 - Arima 17 pacer".  Price start is a bit high but always garaged and the Nissan would do for quite while.

Not mine.

I got a response from my wanted add today, but out of my budget. It's a 2005 19' sea ranger , 113 hrs on dual 4 strokes, with just about all the bells and whistles. Not listed yet, but sometime soon. Around $25k if anyone is interested, pm me and I'll pass you his #.

My 1991 SR19 came with a 2001 Yamaha 100.  It's a carb model and I would much prefer a FI motor, even if it were a 90 hp.   The F100 will push the boat up to about 35 mph which is way fast enough for me top end, but I cruise at 4200 rpm- about 20-22 mph.  5+ mpg is a wonderful thing!  I absolutely loved the confidence I had in my old boat after I repowered to a new Yamaha 90 (2 stroke, in '97) and I long for that also in my new to me Arima- new motors are awesome!

So Mark, your 100hp Yami is a four stroke carb'd motor and you are not happy with it?
Maybe I did not understand your post or is your yami a two stroke?

Stream,

Not sure if you fell into some shark bait...A momentary lapse of judgement? I would think a guy of your caliper would be objective looking at an Arima even though you have had thoughts of aluminum recently!

I love this group they never forget and have the ability to make fun out of anything. Must be an Arima thing!

Lots of stuff- downrigers, hummingbird gps, river anchor, ect. $6500. I'm happy, probably still looking for a 4-stroke sometime. Thank you all for your help !

Helvetiaranger,

Congrats on the new SR. The 2 stroke Keith will do you well. Clean it up and use it. Don't obsess on small details fish don't care if your boat is not perfect...but they do prefer Arima's over other lesser fishing boats even "Tin Cans". Just ask Russ!

Amazing Grace and LaZ,
The 100 is a 2001 model 4 stroke.  It runs great and has good economy.  Yes, I'm thinking about a new EFI version, however, and may see what's on sale at the boat show.

HRanger- looks like an outstanding purchase- you'll be happy with that rig for many years to come!

Randy,

Wow, you worked fast.  :applause:  Now I have an Arima neighbor about a mile away. I hope it's out in the driveway.  I'll may walk past your place tomorrow. If you see an old gimpy guy in a bright green rain coat eyeballing your boat, don't panic but give a yell.

I just searched for a long time as well.  I found the best deals on the east coast.  Use a "craiglist search all" like:

http://www.allofcraigs.com/

http://www.searchtempest.com/

I watched two boats fort a long time and finally got one of them.  I paid 3000 to have the boat shipped from Boston to Gig Harbor.  They hauled it, they did NOT tow it.  It could have been towed for about 2200.  I used All Coast Transport.

http://www.allcoaststransport.com

A guy named Michael helped me.  I'd use them again, boat got here safely and no issues.  The boat I was watching in New York was a good deal.  It's now out here for sale for a lot more then the east coast price, someone just bought it and brought it here to flip.  It seem's the economy is different for their boats.  Depending on what else it around, watching stuff on the east coast I think can get you a good deal.  I found it difficult to get a good deal on an arima in the pacific north west.

good luck...Chet

strokersquid

You got a great deal. Paid 10k for my  93 17 Sr without a kicker though it does have a skip tower. Main is a 100 HP Merc 2st. Has all canvas but no downriggers. I near faint when I see how cheap they are out East. Hope you have the saddle tanks, since you have the 23 gal tank on yours. See the thread about extra gas if you don't.
