New tractor seat. $100 at Northern Tools or tractor store near you might be a few more bucks. $38 for an Attwood swivl base to attach. Seems to work good. Adjustable tension and about 3" of travel.
I know the salt will rust it up but I think others have used these and they have lasted a while.
