Can someone enlighten me on Scotty down rigger connectors....I was going to replace one and have only found 2 prong connectors online, they are listed as the new style. My connectors are 3 prong - I am guessing old style?
Does one swap to the new style 2 prong? Is there a reason for the 3 prong?
The new style Scotty plugs are made by Marinco. They make a two and three prong plug of that style. The previous owner must have installed the three prong plug but there is no reason for the third prong. Here is their web site. Maybe you could find a dealer near you. Or swap out to the two prong plug. Good luck.
