Some of you may know of my association with the Saltwater Sportsman show.  It is beginning to look like this show will return in February of 2023.  The Covid crap nailed us last year, health issues with some of the folks putting the show together, (an aging group) the list goes on.  I will keep you posted as things develop.

We have scheduled our next show!
February 25/26 2023.

Yes Greg, Feb. 2023. 

It takes about 6 to 7 months to gather vendors, gather donations and organize the show plus at least 9 months to reserve facility (state Fair Grounds) and nearly 20 hours a week during the 6 - 7 month lead of the central manager's time.  Our present central manager receives less than $10 per hour for that effort.  That responsibility is available if you would like to volunteer to fill it.   
If you look at the Covid mess, you will likely note things were still up in the air last June.  In fact masks are still required for indoor gatherings in Oregon.  Now there is yet another strain circulating and restrictions are not likely to be raised.

Long story short:  Things are still too unstable in terms of health and governmental restrictions to put on a show in 2022.  If you are interested, we are looking for volunteers to help with our future activities associated with the Saltwater Show.

My guess is both of those boat shows get cancelled. Just a wild guess on my part.

My plan is the same as ATGEP. I don't have much money to start with. Lol. I better find some before the shows!

I have tried many times over the years to meet fellow members at a variety of opportunites-  glad to say the number is approaching 200. 

But- it looks like my traveling will be delayed past the Sportsman's Show and probably the Seattle Boat show too.  Getting around post last weeks hip
surgery with a walker- but slowly and it's still quite uncomfortable-  doing that in a crowd......   

I hope several AO.com members can coordinate a Howdy- but that train is probably leaving without me.

Glad to hear you are on the mend !! We have had some great meet ups over the years. I am looking forward to a time of "normal" Border protocols so I can start coming down for the Puyallup Show and the Boat Show !!!

The Portland show is Feb 16-20 this year, a week later than it used to be.

So, PDX area people------ someone going to set a day/ time to get together??   

I'm 5 weeks post op and may be up to drive 2 hours to get there..  Maybe share a ride from Olympia area.
