Tanacom 750 or...?

I've seen the light, or rather, my right shoulder has. After a Friday morning of deep dropping with my trusty old Penn Senator I'm buying an electric.

I've fished the 1000 on a charter and it's BIG. I want something I can still jig in hand with and still have enough 65# to get to some deep drops, so I shy away from the 500 model. You guys with the newer 750, not the old Bull version, what's your impression?

And what rod would you pair with it? I've got a couple Daiwa boat rods that my Senators are on that aren't straight up meat sticks and still have a little tip action - would that do?

I have the 750. For 3-4 trips a year, it's been trouble free for 3-4 years.

I like the idea, but I like the idea of a NEW REEL even more. Electramate for a guest reel, yes ;)

I have an Electramate Senator 9 that works well

Judy used it but it is a heavy set up.  Got the Tanecom 750 a couple years and it is nice- she even lets me use it.   

Good deal on the Electramate for somebody on AO.
