WA Salmon Draft

For all of the Puget Sound folks here....

WDFW has released a draft version of the salmon seasons for this year. These, of course, aren't the final rules.  But, they're probably going to be close enough to start some planning.

My personal "highlights" are:  Skagit River will return to non-selective for coho.  Skagit River/Baker Lake Sockeye is going to be 4 per day right from the start of the season.  Also not going to have to play the "wait and see" game about the Baker Lake opening.  They are opening on July 6th regardless of trap count.

I might also take a shot at Chinook on the Skagit River.  Opening on the 24th of this month.  I've never tried this fishery before.  It would be fun to get one or two of these.

Now everyone can go spend their hard-earned money on license fees.   :doh:
