Anyone have anything to report?

I made my first outing on Friday, it was a bust, not a bite.

I concentrated my efforts on the Clifton Channel, only saw a few boats. I spoke with one of the most successful springer fishermen on the river, he was on his 7'th consecutive day without a bite.

Water temperature was 42.5 degrees and water was cloudy at it best.

Sounds like fishing kinda sucked.

But, at least you were fishing.  That's worth something.

Not to hijack this thread but a couple weeks ago I looked at a place for sale on the island. Love it down there. The place had a double slip boathouse.

Spent another 8 hours on the river today, still not a bite. I did see one caught and heard of one other one being caught. Hard to really motivated when only 5 chinooks have gone over Bonneville.

You got to "REALL WANT IT" to keep going out.

Was on the water at dark in the morning, fished I-5 to Davis bar. Caught nothing, saw 0 caught, beautiful day on the water.  Fish checker at 33rd said she has not yet seen a springer this year. We're getting close.

Can't wait till the Springer Fish pictures start posting.

Put in another 8-hour day. Had 1 on long enough for fish partners to reel in and to get the net, end of story. Only hear of 1 being caught and few other take downs.

Say 2 gill net going in on return to marina.

My uncle caught 1, wife lost another 2 feet from the net. Fish are here.

Makes me glad that I didn't post a pic of the skinny little cutthroat that I threw back yesterday.  That would have been embarrassing.

The springer my uncle caught (in pic) was 29 inches, not too big.The one I caught the next day was smaller, I didnt take any pics.
