They are planning to ban smoking in the entire city of Dana Point.

I have no problem with people smoking cigarettes as long as the butts end up in a trash can. Not on the sidewalk. No on the trail. Not in the ocean.

I really HATE seeing cigarette butts floating around in the water while I'm fishing. Also hate seeing cigarette butts in the stomachs of fish I catch. Yuck...

About 15 years ago Seattle passed an ordinance that prohibits smoking within 25 feet of any window or door.  It would be nice if the million or so new residents knew about it...
