I lost Two 15# DR balls last year-  hoping there will be a get together lead pour in the central WWA area soon.

Anybody else?

Greg,

I have a mold for the 15# so if a group pour doesn't happen I'm sure I could help you out.

Thanks Jake.
I have 2 and 3# cod weight molds.  No big pot to melt in nor ladle to pour with........
The group get together has always been fun.  Still hoping

Last time I went to one of these was at Bruces in 2015.   I actually still have the green sweatshirt with lead splats permanently melted into it...... thanks to an uninspected weight that had some water in it that got tossed into the smelter....   causing the infamous Lead Fountain of Fame..

Hi Greg,

Russ,  I've been thinking about you!!

Jim lives near Cathlamet off of Hwy 4.  Someplace more central would be great but his place could be good for the PDX folks.

Still optimistic

I no longer live in the South end! But if somebody organized a lead pour, I would try to make it. Not sure what I have left in the way of lead pouring gear after the divorce.

I'm in Ridgefield Wa not quite central Washington, but closer for those pdx folks,  we can do it here. All weekend dates are open thru April.

Tony

For people traveling from the north the drive to Ridgefield would be about the same as driving to Cathlamet.  Your location might be more convenient for all.  I will still offer my burners, ladle and lead pots and downrigger mold. Will be able to participate any time in April with a couple weeks advance notice.

PS...     Q.   Do you know why divorce is expensive?      A.   Because it's worth it!

I guess since masks and gloves are already protocol, this assembly should be virus safe?

Yeah but we can have no more than 50 guys in attendance.  Else need approval permit from health Dept.

I can come up from out of state, so I won't count.

Rumor is that WA is closing it's borders so you Oregon guys will have to sneak across as illegals.

Count me in. I have a slightly used maroon jacket that may or may not have some holes from a warm liquid that I will wear.  It worked well for me in 2015 at the last pour.

I know the guy that put the lead sinker in the hot lead in 2015. I'll talk to him about about that before I (me, I, Myself, etc) puts any lead in the pot.   Rifleman, Russ

  Greg,
If fishaddict (olympia) has a 15lb mold, I have furnace, propane, mold eyes and 10 lb mold. We could meet. we are all south sounders. As I was born 1951BC  (before computers) I don't know how to pm. Call me if you still have number lets make this happen.
Hi Mark, Rasselingrief, Shawn and all you guys, I've been shootin' instead of fishing lately.

My sense is many are waiting to see if/ when more travel restrictions occur. We need to agree that ALL attending  will self screen and be pro-active in healthy procedures.

Jim Hydroman indicated he's still in.  I'm hoping to find a host site more central, Oly or ??

I started a PM with members who have stated they are interested plus a couple I assumed would be.  Share contact info on the PM

If you Aren't interested or able to attend- let us know.

  Hi Mark,
It sounds like we will wait for the travel/virus to clear up before we will be getting together. Bless our health care workers. Just don't give em a hug.
What was I shootin'?  Retired from owning a gun shop. I built really accurate bolt action rifles. Favorite hunt is calling coyotes.

We'll be prudent and support the ban on meetings until we get past the crises.  Stay wise.

I'm forecasting mid April ( optimistically ) to give a spot to aim at.

Rifleman, that sounds fun and challenging!

I get the idea the downside of the curve will be much later, like August or September...

I'm still interested in participating once things get cleared up.  My job has gone nuts with all of this and I'm working lot's of hours.  I wish they were paid hours, but thats the joy of self employment....
