Going to through hole transducer trying to decide on the two listed anyone got an opinion for one or the other saltwater rockfish salmon halibut fishing

I'm happy with the B175HW.  I have used it on 3 Arimas, 1 Osprey and 2 Defiance boats it was great on all the boats with different head units, Lowrance, Simrad, Furuno and Raymarine.  I haven't tested it with Garmin but I'm sure that would be great too.  I haven't ever tried the B175m but I'm sure it's a great transducer.  I'm really interested to see someone try the new B175MW.  It's got a interesting frequency range and come pattern.

So you went with a shoot thru the hull transducer, nice job! the picture of your saw cut disc is the liner right? Did you glue it to the hull, and do you need to box  the transducer in and cool it with antifreeze?

Nope the disc is the hull for the through hole transducer

   Just for clarification:

   "Shoot-thru-hull":   Transducer glued to inside of hull. No hole in boat.

   "Thru-hull":  Hole cut in bottom of boat. Face of transducer actually touching water.
