I am documenting this for anyone that cares. :shrug9: I had a 2001 Suzuki DF 115, that has morphed into a DF 140. It has the wiring harness of the 2001 DF115. Computer from a 2005. Powerhead from a 2004. I have successfully hooked up a NMEA 2000 network to the engine, and it is reading all the vitals perfectly. The different years doesn't matter as much as this motor is a pre-2008. That's when all Suzuki's officially became NMEA 2000 compliant. Most Suzuki motors from 2001 to 2008 are Nmea 200 compliant, they just were never officially certified.
Here is the part list if you want to do a pre-2008:

1)Lowrance NMEA Network 2000 Starter Kit N2K-EXP-RD-2 124-69
2)SUZUKI 990C0-88134 DF 40-300 NMEA 2000 ENGINE INTERFACE (It will say 2008-present. Ignore that.)
3)990C0-88141 - SIMS Reverse K8 Adapter by Suzuki Outboard (This allows you to connect to a Pre-2008 motor)

Number 1 attaches to power and you head unit.
Number 2 attaches to the other end of #1.
Number 3 attaches to the end of #2, and the round adapter attaches to the diagnostic port near the ECU (engine computer)

This is super way cool and worth it!

ejthomp,
Is it fuel injected? If so, is the motor NMEA 2000 compliant? Then YES. Suzuki didn't certify their motors NMEA 2000 compliant until 2008, but previous years were "pending", meaning they were compliant, just not certified. Makes things hard to figure out.

Congratulations on getting her wired up!  Now just be careful with it... my wife always complains when I am fiddling with the Lowrance to measure my fuel burn at different RPM's, or trim adjustments, and not paying attention to the water in front of me

No.  The F100 was the last year of carbs so I'm out of luck.  I do know that Yamaha did the same thing though between about 2002 and 2006-8.

Great job figuring that out!

Awesome Shawn!!    I read up on your last post and was hoping to hear the good news.  Glad you paved the way.  I hoping the parts for the Suzuki will work with my 2003 Johnsuki 115 HP.
