Winter Crabbing Area 8-9 or Area 9 Puget Sound

Anybody been out crabbing lately?   I was out over Thanksgiving and did well.   Everything closes after the 31st so I'm planning to hit it hard for the next four days.   Just curios if any others have been out and had any success.

the last 2 times out  dec 24 and dec 25 it was a little slower for us and we were seeing more soft shell than before. we tossed them by mukilteo as we were fishing over at columbia beach and the bait box

Crabs were decent in 8-2 yesterday. Not as plentiful as years past of course, but decent size - 7 inches plus. Picked up a bonus blackmouth at Racetrack. Surprisingly crowded for a Thursday.

Nice job on the bonus Blackmouth and glad to hear you had a nice outing yesterday....    Today was small craft advisories and my windshield wipers and bilge pumps got a bit of a workout...   But still got the gear out for an overnight soak and will check early tomorrow.   Still supposed to be a weather warning so if we can get a decent average, we'll re-set.   Weather is supposed to lay down on sun and mon...
